Harbour TourJoin us on a fascinating real-life working harbour tour around the world's largest bulk mineral, multi-million dollar export port. Get a first-hand insight into the history, workings, sheer scale, huge volumes, as well as the lives of the often invisible ordinary seafarers who make it all happen.
Our two-hour tour begins at the Port Hedland Seafarers Centre with an informative background presentation before boarding the Seafarers launch for a lap around this bustling 24/7, all-year-round harbour in amongst the huge bulk carriers, powerful tugs, ore loaders and constant activity, accompanied by an expert guide providing commentary and answering your questions. |
Ship VisitAccompany our Chaplain as they visit a Cape class ship and their crew. Climb the steep gangway to the main deck before checking onboard the ship. Visit the crew before being shown around the main areas of the ship including the bridge, recreation rooms, mess room and possibly the engine room.
The Cape class ships are the workhorses of international trade and this tour will give you an insight into their workings and the life of the crew onboard. |
