Our two-hour tour begins at the Port Hedland Seafarers Centre with an informative background presentation before boarding the Seafarers launch for a lap around this bustling 24/7, all-year-round harbour in amongst the huge bulk carriers, powerful tugs, ore loaders and constant activity, accompanied by an expert guide providing commentary and answering your questions.

Important Information
As this is a working port, you will need to wear closed-in shoes. NO thongs or sandals. Skirts/dresses not recommended.
If you have any mobility issues, please contact us to discuss before booking. Young children need to be minimum 80cm height as they need to wear their own lifejacket. No babies as there are no suitable lifejackets. |
The Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) tower offers a grand view of Port Hedland and the harbour operations. This one hour tour will access the Kariyarra Room on the fifth floor of the tower for a 40 minute visit enjoying the views and a background talk on the history and layout of the harbour. There is the chance to see a helicopter transporting marine pilots either landing or taking off and there is sure to be a ship moving in the harbour.
